The Southern California Pulmonary and Sleep Disorders Medical Center has launched SleepTM, a telemedicine portal of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine to deliver sleep apnea therapy via app-based web video.

The launch of the AASM SleepTM platform allows sleep apnea patients to participate in secure, virtual health care encounters while staying safe at home, reducing travel and saving time.

The platform supports an information-rich patient dashboard showing health data including details on sleep habits, caffeine and alcohol consumption, and information from SleepTM’s integrated sleep diaries or the patient’s wearable health tracking device. The information can be shared with other members of the medical care team—therapists, nurses, primary care doctors and hospital clinicians.
