Dex System Unveils Portals, a New Science Fiction Epic by Chester Craig
A hidden journal, a missing brother, and a stone structure in the Guatemalan jungle that shouldn’t be "breathing"
New Rochelle, New York Jul 30, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - AM I AM, the digital publishing imprint powered by the Dex System, today announced the release of Portals, a new science fiction novel by Chester Craig. When Dr. Alex Reeves finds a journal left behind by a disappeared sibling, three years of obsession finally yield a set of impossible coordinates -- leading to Site 7-Gamma, a prehistoric structure deep in the Guatemalan jungle that emits heat and energy no known law of physics can explain.
Alongside skeptical physicist Tara Vasquez, Alex discovers the site isn't a ruin at all -- it's a functional mechanism, an ancient biometric portal that reads the intent of anyone who approaches it. What follows is a search that carries Alex through a threshold into the Weaver's City, and into a network of forty-seven connected worlds. Portals is available now through Amazon and other retailers.
