Apple TV announces Toni Collette series; Timberlake documentary reported
Production on “Lenni” is underway in Sydney, while Variety reports a four-part Justin Timberlake documentary is set for December.

Toni Collette will star in “Lenni,” a comedy-drama announced by Apple TV, with filming underway in Sydney, Australia. Separately, Variety reported that the streaming service is set to release a four-part documentary series about Justin Timberlake in December.
Apple has not given “Lenni” a premiere date. Adapted from Norway’s “Pernille,” the show centers on a divorced child welfare worker raising two children. Apple describes a mystery in which a new case brings her professional responsibilities into conflict with her unsettled family life.
The announced cast also includes Ciarán Hinds, Dan Wyllie, Josh McKenzie, Celeste Barber, Genevieve Hegney, Arka Das and Wayne Blair.
According to Variety, Fisher Stevens will direct the Timberlake documentary. The report cites one source saying Janet Jackson will discuss the wardrobe incident during her performance with Timberlake at the 2004 Super Bowl. Another source told Variety that Timberlake addresses recent comments by his former girlfriend Britney Spears.
The documentary would be Timberlake’s second Apple TV project. He previously appeared in the 2021 drama “Palmer,” about a former prisoner who befriends a boy with a difficult home life.
