Charli XCX has been cast in What Happens At Night, the upcoming Martin Scorsese movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, Variety reported. The singer’s character has not been revealed.
Apple and StudioCanal are producing the film, described as Gothic psychological horror. Its cast also includes Mads Mikkelsen, Patricia Clarkson and Jared Harris.
DiCaprio and Lawrence play spouses visiting a small town in Europe to adopt a baby. Complications during the trip leave the couple in a state of confusion.
The casting follows another connection between Charli and Scorsese: the director appears alongside John Cale and Marc Jacobs on the cover of her new album, Music, Fashion, Film.
