The Jarvis family could become part of Crystal Lake if the series continues, showrunner Brad Caleb Kane told /Film. His comments outlined one possible direction for the Friday the 13th prequel, whose future remained unannounced by Peacock as of October 17.

Linda Cardellini stars in the series, which arrived on Peacock with eight episodes on October 15. No release date has been confirmed for a second season.

Kane suggested to /Film that the Jarvises might have made repeated trips to Crystal Lake before Tommy’s encounter with Jason. Tommy first appeared in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter and became a recurring figure in the films.

In an October 17 interview with Dread Central, Kane said he knew how another season could unfold, but had also given the first season a self-contained ending. He described possibilities beyond the campground, with more attention to the town and secondary characters, drawing inspiration from David Lynch’s Twin Peaks.

Cardellini, who plays Pamela Voorhees, separately told GamesRadar+ on October 14 that the television format allowed for further exploration of Pamela’s life before the original film.
