Cynthia Erivo to guest judge Disney Night on ‘Dancing With the Stars’

The November 2 episode will air a day ahead of the show's usual schedule because of Election Day.

Cynthia Erivo will take a seat on the judging panel for ABC’s Dancing With the Stars on November 2, joining the competition’s Disney Night episode as a guest rather than a contestant.

The Emmy, Grammy and Tony winner will be the panel’s fourth member, alongside regular judges Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Derek Hough. Eight celebrity contestants will compete in the episode, which moves forward by one day because Election Day falls on Tuesday.

Erivo has a Disney connection through her performance as the Blue Fairy in the live-action Pinocchio adaptation from 2022. That film went to Disney+ for streaming rather than receiving a theatrical release.

The dance competition’s season finale is scheduled for November 24. Erivo also recently hosted SNL UK, where she appeared in a Wicked spoof as Glinda—the character played by Ariana Grande in the film version.
