Hudson Williams weighs hockey link in movie he is writing
The Heated Rivalry actor's screenplay includes a former hockey player, though he said other sports are under consideration for the character.

Hudson Williams has revealed that he is writing a movie, with a character's sporting past prompting debate over its similarity to Heated Rivalry. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the 25-year-old actor said the character is a former hockey player.
Williams said other sports were being considered because he had already appeared in a hockey show. He nevertheless felt that a hockey background suited the character better, describing the difficulty of separating creative choices from associations with his existing work.
Having previously written short films, Williams would receive his first feature-film screenwriting credit through the project. He discussed it while promoting his forthcoming show Yaga, but Entertainment Weekly said his team declined to let him elaborate.
Williams is also filming season two of Heated Rivalry. His other forthcoming screen appearances include Netflix's The Altruists and the movies Apparatus and Tyrant, in addition to Yaga.
