Jez Williams sets solo debut for 2027 and shares “Hollow Man”
The Doves guitarist wrote, recorded and produced Life Of Me And You across several studios.
Doves guitarist Jez Williams has announced Life Of Me And You, his first solo album, with a release date of 2/26/27. He also shared “Hollow Man,” the lead single from the 10-track record.
Williams described the single as a response to the pressures of modern life. He said the volume of information, opinions and change can leave people overwhelmed and less present. Musically, he said he paired that subject with an AC/DC-style riff and a broader chorus, with the song emerging in one burst.
Williams handled the writing, recording and production himself, working in several studios. The announcement follows Doves’ sixth studio album, Constellations For The Lonely.
“Hollow Man” opens the album, followed by “Hurt Proof,” “J.U.M.P,” “Misses Jones” and “Walk Alone.” The remaining tracks are “Remember Where You Came From,” “All My Life,” “Magnificent Morning,” “Through It All” and the closing song, “On The Horizon.”
