Jonathan Groff will star in The Amish Project on Broadway, with performances scheduled to begin February 10, 2027. The solo production at the Broadhurst Theatre brings the 41-year-old Tony Award winner back to the stage in a play by Jessica Dickey, directed by Sarna Lapine.

The work draws on the 2006 shooting at a Pennsylvania Amish schoolhouse. Its single performer depicts a community dealing with grief and responding to the tragedy with compassion and forgiveness.

The production’s synopsis describes a portrait of the community and its response to loss. The events that inspired the play took place just minutes from where Groff grew up.

A 24-hour fan presale starts November 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. ET, with early-access registration available through AmishProjectBroadway.com. Tickets for the general public become available November 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. ET through Telecharge.com.
