K/DA, the virtual group associated with League of Legends, released “FIRESTARTER” alongside an official video on October 19, returning after six years without new music. The recording introduces Sophie Powers and Mimi Webb alongside returning i-dle members Miyeon and Soyeon.

Powers sings as Evelynn, while Webb voices Kai’Sa. Miyeon continues as Ahri and Soyeon as Akali, completing the group’s four game-character roles. Madison Beer and Jaira Burns, who voiced Evelynn and Kai’Sa respectively on the 2018 debut “POP/STARS,” do not appear on the new recording. No public explanation for their absence has been confirmed.

The single precedes K/DA’s forthcoming FIRESTARTER EP, scheduled for October 21. Its lyrics combine Korean and English. The accompanying video was made in partnership with Fortiche, the animation studio behind Netflix’s Arcane, and includes choreography by Sean Bankhead.

Beyond its debut singers, K/DA has previously collaborated with Bea Miller, Wolftyla, Lexie Liu, Kim Petras and members of TWICE.
