Junior MasterChef Australia will feature Meghan Markle as a special guest, People reported, rather than as the host, as earlier reports had suggested. Producers said her role would involve working with the show's young cooks alongside host Poh Ling Yeow.

The Duchess of Sussex described accepting the invitation after a positive experience with the MasterChef team in April. In a statement, she said that cooking with her children made her interested in seeing what the contestants would create.

People also reported plans for a family stay in Australia lasting a few weeks. Prince Harry and the couple's children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, would accompany Meghan.

Her previous involvement with MasterChef Australia was as a guest judge. Poh, who had filmed with Meghan before, said she was looking forward to their reunion and to meeting the young participants.
