Netflix confirmed on October 30 that its animated horror-comedy Haunted Hotel has been renewed for a third season, with a return scheduled for 2027. The streamer has not provided a specific premiere date. The announcement followed the October 9 debut of the eight-episode second season.

Creator Matt Roller said earlier in October that scripts for a possible third season were already finished before the renewal. Speaking on The Bulwark Goes to Hollywood podcast, he expressed hope for a premiere before Halloween 2027. Roller also said the team was planning 10 episodes, a count Netflix has not formally confirmed.

The series centers on Katherine, who is raising two children while trying to operate the Undervale hotel, where supernatural visitors include ghosts and monsters. Helping her are Nathan, her deceased brother who is now a ghost, and a demon inhabiting a young boy’s body.

What’s on Netflix reported that the main voice actors will return: Eliza Coupe plays Katherine, Will Forte voices Nathan, Skyler Gisondo plays Ben, Natalie Palamides voices Esther and Jimmi Simpson plays Abaddon. Roller, whose previous work includes Rick and Morty, created the series, and Dan Harmon is an executive producer. Both existing seasons are available on Netflix.
