Neve Campbell confirms return as Sidney Prescott in Scream 8
The actor discussed the next film in an Associated Press interview, following her return to the franchise in Scream 7.
Neve Campbell said she will reprise her role as Sidney Prescott in Scream 8, confirming her involvement during an interview with the Associated Press. She declined to share further details about the next installment.
Asked about her upcoming work, Campbell included the film among her projects. She also said she was developing two shows and had sold one of them, but offered no additional information about the eighth Scream movie beyond her participation.
Plans for an eighth installment were reported when Scream 7 opened in February 2026. That film marked Campbell’s return to the series after a pay dispute kept her out of the sixth movie.
Campbell reportedly received US$7 million for Scream 7. The film’s worldwide box-office gross reached US$207 million, compared with US$166 million for the sixth installment. Her confirmation follows that return, though she did not disclose any further details about Scream 8 in the interview.
