Team Orange wins The Challenge season 42 and US$550,000
Tori Deal’s team defeated Team Gray in Thailand, where nine contestants competed in the final of the season titled Cutthroat.

Tori Deal captained Team Orange to victory in season 42 of The Challenge, earning US$500,000 in prize money and US$50,000 in bonuses. Paramount+ released the concluding episode of the two-part Cutthroat finale on October 28.
Alongside Deal, the winning roster included Michele Fitzgerald, Will Gagnon, Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio and Chris “CT” Tamburello. The season used a team format, with the victorious captain deciding how to distribute the money.
Paramount+ said Deal allocated US$109,999 to each teammate and retained US$110,004 herself. The nearly equal distribution included a US$1 charge for each teammate as a captain’s fee.
Adrienne Naylor’s Team Gray placed second. Her teammates were Cara Maria Sorbello, Cassidy Clark and Alexis “Lete” Lete. The runners-up collected US$25,000 in bonuses; Naylor took US$10,000, while the other three contestants each received US$5,000.
According to Parade, Devenanzio’s championship count reached eight, extending his franchise record. Tamburello secured his sixth title and Deal her second, while Fitzgerald and Gagnon each recorded a first win.
Tamburello needed medical attention after struggling in extreme heat during the opening day of the final. He was later cleared to resume competing. Some viewers criticized the decision allowing his team to carry on while he underwent medical evaluation.
