The Holiday to return to theaters for its 20th anniversary
The romantic comedy will begin screenings at participating theaters on December 11, 2026, with Fathom Entertainment handling distribution.

Sony Pictures has announced a theatrical rerelease of The Holiday to mark the romantic comedy’s 20th anniversary. Screenings will begin on December 11, 2026, through Fathom Entertainment, according to UPI, which reported the studio’s October 21 announcement. Locations and screening times may differ.
Nancy Meyers wrote and directed the film, which first reached theaters on December 8, 2006. Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Jack Black lead the cast, alongside Eli Wallach, Rufus Sewell, Edward Burns and Shannyn Sossamon.
The story centers on two women dealing with relationship problems who exchange homes over Christmas. Amanda, played by Diaz, leaves Los Angeles for the English countryside and meets Graham, played by Law. Winslet’s Iris travels from England to Amanda’s home, where she forms a connection with Black’s character, Miles.
The anniversary engagement brings back the original film rather than introducing a sequel. It is also available on Hulu in the United States and for digital rental or purchase through Apple TV and Prime Video, though streaming availability may change before December.
