W. H. Lung announce indefinite break with new farewell song
A Nov. 20 concert at Manchester’s Albert Hall will double as a goodbye and a celebration of the group’s 10th anniversary.

W. H. Lung are taking an indefinite hiatus, with just one concert remaining on their schedule. The Manchester dance-rock group also unveiled a farewell track, “Where Will You Go?,” and said they could not say whether they would return.
Their remaining performance is set for Nov. 20 at Manchester’s Albert Hall. Alongside marking 10 years together, the event is intended to celebrate the group and its supporters, the members said.
The band described the single as a look back at its formation, early ambitions and experiences in places such as Leeds, Todmorden, the US and Europe. They said it took shape quickly despite an earlier decision not to write more material this year.
Recording took place at the Nave with Matt Peel, a collaborator on their earliest releases. Tom now has a studio there. Concertgoers will be able to buy a limited-edition 12-inch record featuring the new song alongside “High Pressure Days.”
The group’s album Every Inch Of Earth Pulsates was released in 2024. Its second album, Vanities, came out in 2021.
