Playing Lenore Dove Baird left Whitney Peak feeling overwhelmed by the expectations surrounding The Hunger Games franchise, she said in an interview with Cosmopolitan. Her comments accompany separate winter-issue covers featuring Peak and fellow cast members Mckenna Grace and Maya Hawke.

Peak said the character’s significance and the enthusiasm of the franchise’s followers made the project feel bigger than she could have imagined. To move forward, she said, she needed to put those concerns aside and focus on performing. She also suggested viewers should prepare for an emotional experience.

For Grace, who takes the role of Maysilee Donner, joining the film followed an existing interest in the series. She told the magazine she had previously made fan edits of the movies, including one favoring Josh Hutcherson’s character, Peeta.

Hawke, cast as Wiress, said facing the experience alongside her co-stars eased the pressure. The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is scheduled to reach theaters on November 20.
