Jennifer Lawrence has confirmed she will reprise Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, which opens in theaters on November 20. She discussed returning to the franchise during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.

Asked by host Alex Cooper about playing Katniss again, Lawrence described an emotional reunion with Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson and familiar crew members. Her comments followed earlier media reports that she and Hutcherson would return for the film.

The story centers on sixteen-year-old Haymitch Abernathy of District 12 during the 50th Annual Hunger Games, known as the Second Quarter Quell. In the arena, he allies with Maysilee Donner, played by Mckenna Grace, and becomes part of a coalition challenging the Capitol under President Snow, played by Ralph Fiennes.

Francis Lawrence directs the adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ novel, with Billy Ray and Michael Lesslie writing the screenplay. Other cast members include Jesse Plemons, Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Elle Fanning, Maya Hawke, Whitney Peak, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Ben Wang.
