CJ Perry and Miro Barnyashev announce pregnancy and son's name

A son named Bear Petrov Barnyashev will be the first baby for CJ Perry and her husband, Miro Barnyashev, the couple told People. Their interview, published October 27, included the news that Perry, 41, has an April 28, 2027, due date.
The couple began IVF in 2025, with an embryo transfer taking place in August 2026. Perry described feeling nervous during the wait for pregnancy tests and said she wanted to learn the baby's sex immediately to reduce some of the uncertainty surrounding the process.
Perry said a male embryo was the first to receive normal genetic screening results and the first to be transferred. She recalled giggling with gratitude and joy when she heard her son's heartbeat.
Barnyashev said the idea of calling a son Bear had come to him about 10 years earlier. The couple chose the middle name to honor his father, who will become a grandfather to a boy for the first time.
