Gigi Perez released “Favor” at midnight on October 30, adding an original track to the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The 26-year-old singer collaborated with Aidan Hobbs on both the writing and production.

In a statement, Perez said the song drew on her experiences of grief and her desire to reconnect with loved ones who had died. She said the Hunger Games stories had affected her since she was 12, and described the project as an opportunity to share something personal.

Other artists contributing new material to the soundtrack include Noah Kahan, whom Perez has supported as an opening act. The Smashing Pumpkins also released a song for the album earlier in October.

The complete soundtrack is due November 13th, followed by the film’s theatrical opening on November 20th. Perez’s “Sailor Song” ranked among TikTok’s top ten trending songs globally in 2025.
