Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Joe Keery marked their Broadway debuts at the October 18 opening of Other Desert Cities at New York City's Hudson Theatre. The production is scheduled to finish its limited engagement on January 17, 2027.

Written by Jon Robin Baitz and directed by John Benjamin Hickey, the play also stars Ed Harris, Allison Janney and Lily Rabe. Louis-Dreyfus is an 11-time Emmy winner, while Keery is known for Stranger Things.

The story takes place on Christmas Eve at a politically connected family's home in Palm Springs. A daughter arrives with a memoir that threatens to reveal a long-concealed family secret, prompting conflict over loyalty, memories and who has the right to tell the family's story.

The New York Times praised Louis-Dreyfus's debut and Janney's performance. EW awarded the production a B+, while Deadline's positive review highlighted Louis-Dreyfus's comic performance.
