A teaser trailer has been released for Criminal, the Prime Video crime drama starring Charlie Hunnam and Luke Evans. The series will launch with “Coward” on January 13, 2027, followed by “Lawless” on January 27, 2027. Each part contains four episodes.

Adapted from graphic novels created by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, the series follows connected crime stories. Hunnam plays Leo Patterson, who wants to escape the criminal environment in which he grew up. His friend Ricky Lawless, played by Gus Halper, instead hopes to emulate his outlaw father.

The opening installment brings Leo and Ricky up against a childhood murder, long-hidden family secrets and a failed heist. The second centers on Ricky’s older brother Tracy, played by Evans. Having chosen military service rather than prison 20 years earlier, Tracy returns when Ricky becomes entangled with dangerous people.

Adria Arjona plays Greta, a car thief with ties to Leo’s past, while Emilia Clarke portrays Mallory, Ricky’s girlfriend, who worries about his actions. The cast also includes Richard Jenkins, Kadeem Hardison, John Hawkes and Logan Browning. Guest performers include Michael Mando, Garrett Hedlund and Patrick J. Adams.
