Netflix is streaming all eight episodes of the second season of North of North, while the Canadian comedy has yet to receive a third-season renewal. Star Anna Lambe has discussed where she would like the story to go if it continues.

In an interview with TV Insider, Lambe said she wanted her character, Siaja, to become less impulsive when confronting problems. For a possible third season, she expressed interest in exploring a more considerate approach to reconnecting Siaja’s mother and sister.

Siaja is a young Inuk mother seeking a fresh start following her public departure from her marriage. Season two brings winter toward Ice Cove as she makes mistakes and tries to convince both herself and her Arctic community that she can direct her own future.

The show’s first season collected nine Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Comedy Series and Lambe’s Best Leading Performance in a Comedy Series honor. It also received five awards from the Directors Guild of Canada and one from the Writers Guild of Canada.
