Chris Pratt will reprise his role as Lieutenant Commander James Reece for Prime Video in an adaptation of Savage Son, Deadline reported. The project extends the screen franchise drawn from Jack Carr’s books.

Whether Savage Son will serve as a third season of The Terminal List or a separate installment remains unclear. Pratt has portrayed Reece across two seasons of that show and in the prequel Dark Wolf. The Terminal List’s second season adapts True Believer.

According to the plot description reported by Deadline, Savage Son follows a CIA officer who has betrayed his country and taken shelter with Russian organized crime while plotting to kill Reece. Reece, meanwhile, is recuperating after brain surgery in Montana, supported by journalist Katie Buranek, played by Constance Wu, and fellow SEAL Raife Hastings, played by Tom Hopper.

With Russian intelligence having compromised an unidentified entity within the U.S. government, Reece assembles former commandos to pursue the Russian mafia on its own territory.
