Cameron Diaz plays a single mother struggling to honor a promise to her daughter in Bad Day, an action-comedy whose first trailer Netflix unveiled on November 5. The film is set for a December 11 debut on the service.

Jake Szymanski directs the movie. Alongside Diaz, the cast includes Danielle Brooks, Rhenzy Feliz, John Higgins, Mark Duplass, Jessica Belkin, Ed O’Neill, Rob Corddry, Ayden Mayeri, Ben Schwartz, Retta, Emma Pearson, P.J. Byrne, Sherry Cola, Edi Patterson and Beck Bennett.

Bad Day is Diaz’s second Netflix project since she returned to acting after a 10-year break. She previously appeared opposite Jamie Foxx in the action-comedy Back in Action.

Diaz is also set to star in a sequel to Troop Beverly Hills, the 1989 adventure comedy. Her involvement in that project was announced earlier in the year.
