Crystal Lake ranks fourth among Peacock’s scripted originals
The Friday the 13th prequel recorded 1.3 billion viewing minutes during its opening 11 days, according to NBCUniversal’s internal figures.

Peacock’s Crystal Lake has reached fourth place among the service’s scripted original series, with TheWrap reporting internal NBCUniversal data showing 1.3 billion minutes of viewing over its first 11 days. The horror prequel debuted on October 15.
Nielsen rankings cited by TheWrap placed the show at No. 3 among streaming originals for the week of October 19. It also took the No. 3 position among most-watched freshman seasons that week.
Linda Cardellini stars as Pamela Voorhees in the A24 production, which takes place before the original Friday the 13th film. Pamela is dealing with her young son Jason’s apparent drowning when two strangers come to town seeking information about her past.
Creator Brad Caleb Kane also serves as showrunner. The cast includes William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins and Gwendolyn Sundstrom, with Callum Vinson portraying young Jason Voorhees.
Peacock offers all eight episodes but has not officially renewed the series. Kane has previously discussed a possible Season 2, including ideas involving a familiar family from the Friday the 13th franchise.
