Lucy Hale and Ian Harding return as co-stars in Christmas comedy

Former Pretty Little Liars castmates Lucy Hale and Ian Harding have reunited for The 12 Dates of Christmas, a Christmas romantic comedy available to stream on Hulu. The actors appeared at a November 4 premiere held at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese 6 Theatres.
The story centers on Christina Walker, played by Hale, whose commitment to running a successful shop has come at the expense of dating. She sets out to find a partner through 12 dates spread across the 12 weeks before Christmas. Greer Grammer, Carter Jenkins and Penelope Ann Miller round out the named cast.
Discussing their reunion with ABC 7, Hale praised Harding’s kindness and described him as a true friend. Harding said he thought he struggled to distinguish their conversations from scripted dialogue, describing their largely off-the-cuff approach as giving the film a natural feel.
The pair previously portrayed romantic partners on Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars. Hale played Aria Montgomery throughout its seven seasons, while Harding portrayed her English teacher, Ezra Fitz.
