Apple TV and Legendary Television are discussing a third season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters that would change the sci-fi action drama’s creative team and introduce new Titans, according to Variety. The series has not been confirmed for renewal.

The proposed season would have a different showrunner and writers, Variety reported. It remains unclear whether characters from the previous two seasons would return. Chris Black, who created the series with Matt Fraction, has served as its showrunner.

Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell portrayed Lee Shaw at different ages. The cast across the first two seasons also included Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Joe Tippett, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm and Takehiro Hira. Wyatt Russell is also set to return as the younger Shaw in a prequel series that remains in development.

The drama initially followed siblings investigating their family’s ties to Monarch, a secretive organization, with their search leading them to Shaw. Its second season brought characters to Kong’s Skull Island and a village where a mysterious Titan emerges from the sea.
