The Voice celebrity season will cast for singing ability, producer says
The NBC edition will air in spring 2027, with Keke Palmer as host and Joe Jonas joining the coaching lineup.

The Voice: Celebrity will feature famous contestants with established singing skills, rather than teach them to sing, executive producer Audrey Morrissey told TV Insider. The NBC competition, filmed in Los Angeles over the summer, is set to air in spring 2027.
Morrissey said the search focused on people from sports, acting and reality television who also had strong voices. Contestants would need to sing well enough to prompt a coach to turn around, she said, emphasizing the vulnerability of performing as themselves while facing the backs of the coaches’ chairs.
She said she did not think the team had fully foreseen the contestants’ competitive drive. Morrissey connected that determination to the effort they had made to succeed in their existing careers.
The celebrity participants remain unannounced. Coaching duties will bring back Riley Green and Queen Latifah, alongside newcomer Joe Jonas, while Keke Palmer takes on hosting duties.
