Chaz Bear has outlined plans for a new Toro y Moi album, Unusua, through a Bandcamp listing. Company Studio is set to issue the record on 11/20, following his 2024 album Hole Erth.

The listing attributes the record’s performance, arrangements and production entirely to Bear. It identifies the recording sites as Berkeley’s Scenic Route and Sausalito’s 2200 Studios. Bear offered no further explanation alongside the listing.

The album includes “Proof,” an instrumental released earlier that pairs piano with a synthesizer arpeggio. Another track from the project, “Motive,” has also been shared.

“Keynote” opens the album, ahead of “Motive” and “Proof.” The sequence continues with “Poor Connection,” then “Interval” and “Lull,” before closing with “Obsolete.”
